Did Debris Solve Time Loop Problem? Plus, an Interesting Shift Is Coming

Did Debris Solve Time Loop Problem? Plus, an Interesting Shift Is Coming.. TVLine 8 hrs ago This week on NBC’s Debris after MI6 agent Finola Jones took a few trips of her own through the reality-rewriting time loop she realized that to set things right, she and CIA agent Bryan Beneventi (along with Kathleen and her brother Shelby) needed to synchronize watches and make one final “jump” together at the exact same time. With that done, we next saw Finola and Bryan once again pull up to the Oceanside, Wash, overlook and once again comment on the sea/faint Laghari levels, before once again knocking on the door of a nearby home, where they were greeted by Shelby… who similarly had been reunited with Kathleen.

DEBRIS Jonathan Tucker on the Series-Changing 2-Parter

Throughout eight episodes of NBC’s Debris, it seemed like anything was possible. Now the show’s first two-part story has revealed just how true that is. A powerful piece from the destroyed alien ship rewrote reality, again and again. Space and time were at risk of collapsing entirely, putting the whole universe at risk. This ups the ante on just how weird things can get on the show, and also how intense. Yet, that might not have been the biggest development for the series. Being separated from his partner made Bryan Beneventi realize just how much he cares about Finola. What does all of this mean for the series? We asked star Jonathan Tucker just that, as well as what it was like filming the mind-bending episodes.

Debris: Riann Steele Previews Finola s Own Trip Through the Reality-Altering Time Loop And Why It s Beautiful TVLine 12 hrs ago With its latest episode, NBC’s Debris threw CIA agent Bryan Beneventi (as well as viewers) for a truly compelling time loop. And this Monday at 10/9c, it is his partner’s turn to have her own reality warped again and again. In the first half of the two-parter, Bryan (played by Jonathan Tucker) and MI6 agent Finola Jones (Riann Steele) in the course of investigating a debris report near Oceanside, Wash. met a young man, Shelby (Keenan Tracey), who… actually had already met them, multiple times prior. Shelby explained that he and his sister Kathleen found a large cylinder of debris just off the cliff by their home, and that upon swimming into it they were transported back two days in time. But in repeating this process, Shelby soon returned to a reality where his sis did not exist.

Debris Jonathan Tucker unpacks Bryan s big admission in Do You Know Icarus?

In the first eight episodes of NBC s sci-fi drama, Debris, CIA operative Bryan Beneventi (Jonathan Tucker) and MI6 operative Finola Jones (Riann Steele) have worked together under the joint organization Orbital to investigate pieces of an alien spacecraft that have crashed to Earth. From the start, Beneventi s boss/handler, Craig Maddox (Norbert Leo Butz), has ordered him to lie to Jones about the truth about her deceased father, astrophysicist George Jones (Tyrone Benskin). However, as the debris cases have gotten weirder and more harrowing for the two agents in the field, so too has their interest in lying to each other to protect state secrets.
