Friend of deceased pilot fondly remembers his life

Indeed, his premonition came true. The friend told him that he suspected that mutual friend, and pilot, Bradley Guy Marzari had been killed when the 1960 Focke-Wulf FWP-149D plane he was piloting crashed in a field on private land in Killeen, approximately 2.25 miles shy of Runway 1 at Skylark Field. Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that fact not long after. Killeen police, some of the first responders on the scene, said Marzari, a 60-year-old Belton resident, was flying from New Braunfels to Skylark Field. “In the aviation community, some people know a person that died in a crash, and some people don’t,” Flight said via phone Tuesday. “. When you know the person it just hits you in a completely different way — it hits you much harder.”

Geto Boys Tease New Album

The Geto Boys haven’t released a proper studio album since 2005’s The Foundation. The original lineup has changed drastically over the years, and with the 2019 death of Bushwick Bill, the Geto Boys Hip Hop fans once knew are no more. But that doesn’t mean Scarface and Willie D can’t continue their legacy. On Monday (June 28), Scarface posted a photo of what looks like album art featuring the surviving members dressed in black suits with the words “Geto Boys Reloaded” at the top, no caption. The post quickly caught the attention from some of Hip Hop’s most notable names, including Alchemist, DJ Premier, Black Sheep’s Dres, Mia X, Goodie Mob, Gang Starr, Kid Capri and more.

Flag garden, healing touch, parade ban lifted: News from around our 50 states From USA TODAY Network and wire reports Alabama Montgomery: Gov. Kay Ivey on Thursday vetoed legislation to delay next year’s requirement to hold back third graders who aren’t reading at grade level – a postponement lawmakers sought after the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted classrooms. The veto means the promotion requirement will take effect at the end of the 2021-22 school year. The governor said it is “hasty and premature” to delay the requirement before education officials can review the newest test scores. “As a former teacher and even more so as governor, I believe early literacy is the gateway to all learning,” Ivey said in a statement. The Republican governor said she is asking the state superintendent to brief the public on spring test scores when available and for the Alabama Committee on Grade Level Reading to make recommendations regarding any future action. “Ever
