Karnataka announces Class 12 results, exam made optional in August

Karnataka to adopt Central Tenancy Act in its entirety: Revenue Minister Ashoka The Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) in Karnataka on Tuesday for the first time declared second Pre-University College (PUC) results without holding exams in the backdrop of the Covid-19 crisis. The examinations to second PUC were cancelled due to the second Covid wave in the state. Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar and DPUE Director Snehal stated that candidates who appeared could get their results by visiting the official website.  The cumulative marks for each student has been calculated by taking 45 per cent weightage from marks scored for SSLC, 10 per cent from the internal assessment, 45 per cent from the first PUC marks scored.

Karnataka to adopt Central Tenancy Act in its entirety: Revenue Minister Ashoka Karnataka government declared results of the Class 12 (II year Pre-University Course) students on Tuesday, and the students are advised to check their results on the official website of the PUC department pue.kar.nic.in, said Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar. Candidates repeating the board exam this year have been given 35 per cent grace marks and over  76,000 candidates who have registered for the exam this year fall into this category. All those  students who re-appeared for exams this year have been promoted, said the minister. Of the total 5.90 lakh students who had registered for the exam, as many as 3.35 lakh were boys and 3.31 lakh were girls. A total of 1,95,650 students got distinction while 1.47 lakh got second division.
