This prompted the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), the sole transmission company in Ghana to immediately release a press informing Ghanaians of the challenges it is facing. Part of the statement read a challenge in the power system led to total system shutdown leading to an interruption in the power to all parts of the country .
