Donegal athletes prepare for national senior Indoor Micro Meet this weekend - Highland Radio

Athletics Ireland have announced that and national senior Indoor Micro Meet will take place in Abbotstown this weekend. This will be exclusively for carded athletes who have realistic hopes of qualifying for The European Indoor Championships or Olympic Games the Europeans are due take placed in Torun Poland from March 5th to the 7th. Brendan Boyce set a new personal best over 30km in Cork on Saturday. The Finn Valley AC man finished the event in a time of two hours and 11 minutes, his previous best for 30km was two hours and 14 minutes. The Milford native has already qualified for the Tokyo Olympics and will compete in the 50km race walk when the games begin in the Summer of 2021.
