TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A public meeting was held Wednesday in the cafeteria of Otter Creek Middle School to review plans for the revitalization of North Clinton St. in northern Vigo County.
Traffic has increased along North Clinton St. and so have the number of crashes, making it one of the more dangerous areas for drivers. The current design of the street is two lanes, but it has many access points. Officials say that’s what has led to so many rear-end crashes.
“We had a very good crowd this evening considering that we had limitations, but it’s going to be even better going forward that we’re starting so early because people will have time to contact us by email, through the website, and on social media to give us ideas on what they think would work better,” Vigo County Commissioner Brendan Kearns said.
