BREAKING: Motorcyclist 'conscious' at highway crash scene

Premium Content Subscriber only A MOTORCYCLIST has been seriously injured in a motorbike crash on a busy highway on Monday morning. The 33-year-old man is believed to have been travelling south through Fernvale when he was involved in a single-motorcycle crash. Paramedics rushed to the Brisbane Valley highway to assess the patient. A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the patient suffered chest, leg and arm injuries. A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the man was conscious when emergency services arrived on scene. The man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition at 8.26am. brisbane valley highway

Lowood cops charge two men with Easter drug, drink driving

Premium Content Subscriber only Lowood police have charge to men with drink and drug driving offences across the Easter weekend. At about 1.25am on April 3 police intercepted a vehicle on the Brisbane Valley Highway, Fernvale, for a random breath test. A 56-year-old Robina man has been charged with one count of driving under influence of liquor. He will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates court on April 29. Police also charged a man after allegedly driving under the influence of a drug. Around 3.52pm on April 3, police intercepted a vehicle on Main Street Lowood for the propose of a roadside drug test.
