A 24-year-old woman has fled a Gold Coast quarantine hotel on August 3, after being stopped by border patrol and declaring she had been in a NSW hotspot on July 31, before isolating.
Queensland Health authorities hint lockdown will ease as they record 27 new local cases

Queensland Chief Health Officer Doctor Jeannette Young did not expect to be this far in front of the outbreak as she indicated the state is doing brilliantly . The fact we only had five days of people being infectious in the community so between four people out and about in the community for five days while infectious, she said.
