Victims killed in Fall River triple shooting identified as Miguel Sanjurjo, 14, and Jovaughn Antonio Mills, 29, authorities say

The victims were 14-year-old Miguel Sanjurjo and 29-year-old Jovaughn Antonio Mills, both of Fall River. Sanjurjo was pronounced dead at Charlton Memorial Hospital and Mills was pronounced dead at Saint Anne’s Hospital, according to a statement from the office of Bristol District Attorney Thomas Quinn III.
A third shooting victim, a 19-year-old Fall River man, is still being treated at Rhode Island Hospital. Physicians say he is expected to recover, according to the statement.
Fall River police started receiving 911 calls at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday reporting shots fired near Griffin Park. Officers found Mills and Sanjurjo suffering from gunshot wounds. The two were rushed to hospitals and declared dead by emergency room physicians, the district attorney’s office said.

Man killed in New Bedford shooting identified as Joseph Pauline

Authorities have identified a man killed in a shooting Friday night in New Bedford as 32-year-old Joseph Pauline.
New Bedford police received 911 calls around 6:45 p.m. Friday reporting shots fired outside the Richdale Food Market on Brock Avenue, according to a statement released Saturday morning by the office of Bristol District Attorney Thomas Quinn III.
Officers got to the scene moments later and found Pauline, of New Bedford, in the parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, the statement said.
Pauline was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where he was pronounced dead at 7:44 p.m., the district attorney’s office said.
