Galway Bay fm newsroom – A man in his 20s has been arrested after â¬25 thousand worth of suspected cannabis was seized in Rosmuc.
At around 11am today, Gardai attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a search of a house in the area.
They seized cannabis herb worth â¬25 thousand, along with more than â¬1 thousand in cash, as well as a number of other cannabis products.
A man in his late 20s was arrested and is currently being detained at the Garda HQ in Renmore under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.

A WOMAN HAS been arrested following a seizure of cannabis herb during a garda search operation in Dublin.
A Garda spokeswoman said that the arrest and drugs find was made by gardaí from the divisional drugs unit.
“Gardaí have seized €72,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb and arrested one woman during a search operation in Santry, Dublin 9 yesterday evening, Wednesday 14th April 2021.

TWO PEOPLE HAVE been charged after drugs and cash were seized in Mayo over the weekend.
The man and woman, 20s, are due to appear before Ballina District Court this morning at 10.30am.
Gardaí arrested the man and woman on Saturday when drugs and cash were discovered in Mayo.
The Divisional Drugs Unit in Mayo searched several locations in Mayo on 10 April and seized €130,000 in suspected cannabis herb and cocaine and €17,600 in cash.

Almost 45,000 euro worth of drugs have been seized during separate searches in Clare.
Gardaí carried out a number of searches in Ennis, Sixmilebrige and Ennistymon on separate days last week and a number of arrests have since been made.

As part of an ongoing operation targetting the sale or supply of controlled substances in Clare, members attached to the Clare Garda Division carried out a number of searches under warrant across the county last week.
On Friday evening, 32,000 euro worth of cocaine was discovered at a house in Ennis, after which two men in their 30s, were arrested at the scene and questioned at Ennis Garda Station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
Gardai make several seizures of drugs across county Clare

GARDAI in the Clare division have made several seizures of drugs across the county over the past week.
As part of the ongoing operation targeting the sale or supply of controlled substances in the Clare Garda Division, gardaí carried out a number of searches under warrant in the county over the past week.
The largest seizure was of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of €32,000, in Ennis on Friday, April 9 at 5.30 pm.
Gardaí from the Clare Divisional Drugs Unit executed a search warrant at a house in the county town and seized the suspected drugs and arrested two males, both in their early 30s.
