UNM Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs Barbara Rodriguez has announced a new office and director within the department of Academic Affairs. The newly created Office for Academic Personnel (OAP) is now up and running under the directorship of Emily Luhman, who assumed the position on July 19. “I am delighted to welcome Emily Luhman to Academic Affairs, as the director of the Office for Academic Personnel,” Rodriguez said. “Emily brings an impressive skill set, including extensive expertise in human resources management, faculty-related policies and practices and a demonstrated commitment to supporting academic departments in recruiting, hiring, and retaining diverse and highly qualified faculty. She’s energetic, knowledgeable and customer-service-oriented. Recognizing this position is of paramount importance to our faculty, Provost Holloway and I are confident Emily will provide outstanding leadership.”
