Stolen vehicles and motorcycle seized in Sunshine North
Police yesterday charged a man with numerous offences as a result of an investigation into the handling of allegedly stolen vehicles at an automotive wrecking business in Sunshine North.
Vehicle Crime Squad detectives executed a search at the Baldwin Avenue address on 27 January, following information that the business had allegedly been operationing in contravention of the Second Hand Dealers Act.
During the search, police located information to indicate a second holding yard nearby and a search was conducted at this premises.

The plan was familiar and charted a much-travelled path: Ly Thi Thu Tran, ambitious and fresh from school, was to land in Melbourne and spend three years arming herself with English and a business degree for deployment and success back home in Ho Chi Minh City.
Just as familiar was how the returning home element of the plan was abandoned.
Ly Thi Thu Tran her husband Hung Phuoc Nguyen Hau and their son Andy will become new citizens on Australia Day.

Like so many short-stay residents, Ms Tran, who arrived in 2007, was captured by the Melbourne weather, opportunities and sense of suburban safety. Brimbank youth share vision for future
A group of Brimbank teens and young adults have created a series of videos showcasing community support, self-care and their vision for the future.
Brimbank Mayor, Cr Ranka Rasic said young people aged 10-25 who live, work, study or have a strong connection to the city of Brimbank submitted videos that showcased positivity during the difficult times.
“Despite all that they endured this year, together the youth of Brimbank were able to support each other and their communities through the #BrimbankYouth initiative,” Cr Rasic said.
“The #BrimbankYouth initiative is an excellent opportunity to empower our young people as active citizens.
