A group of chiefs in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region has expressed confidence in the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Raymond Nana Damptey, and appealed to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to retain him for the next four years.
That, according to the chiefs, would enable the DCE to complete his development agenda for the area.
The chiefs made the call at a press conference in reaction to an earlier one by some other chiefs calling on the President not to renominate Mr Damptey for a second term for his alleged disrespect to the chiefs in the area.
