Thamesdown Drive junction with Purton Road Bee experts will be working in the central reservation of Thamesdown Drive to safely remove a colony of the stinging insects today. The bees were spotted near a cable duct for the traffic lights at the junction of Thamesdown Drive and Purton Road. at which point Swindon Borough Council contacted the British Beekeepers Association. Clive Harris, of Swindon and District Beekeepers Association, said: “The colony of bees appear to have taken up residence either in, or near to, a cable duct associated with the traffic lights controlling the junction between Purton Road and Thamesdown Drive.
