Police were called to a Merseyside hotel housing asylum seekers after a group of far-right activists staged a small protest. Disgusting video footage shared by Britain First has prompted outrage on social media, including from local campaigners Southport Against Racism. The five-minute clip was filmed in and around the Scarisbrick Hotel on Lord Street, where asylum seekers have been housed since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
During the video, a group of activists enter the hotel despite being asked not to by staff, and ask people inside the building questions such as where they are from and how long they have been there.
