The number of communities in Wales that have no current Covid-19 cases is falling rapidly as a third wave of the pandemic engulfs Wales.
There are now just 17 areas where there have been fewer than two coroanvirus cases in the last week – down from above 300 of Wales 410 ward-level areas a month ago.
Public Health Wales stops publishing data when there are two cases or fewer as it could identify individuals.

Youths allegedly took the vehicle after the refuse crew parked for a break and then collided with a wall in Briton Ferry on the morning of Thursday July 22. A police spokesperson said: “South Wales Police were called around 9.40am [on] Thursday, July 22, following reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Giant’s Grave Road, Briton Ferry. “A 17 year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage and has been released pending further investigation.
