Shelton fire log: Crews respond to brush fires, Chase Bank fire call

The Shelton Fire Department responded to the following calls this past week.
Monday, March 8
At 11:31 a.m., the White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with an engine to a Dickinson Drive address for an activated carbon monoxide alarm sounding.
At 7:18 p.m., the Huntington Co. No. 3 and the White Hills Co. No. 5 responded with an engine to a fire alarm activation at an Elderberry Lane address. There was no fire.
At 11:04 p.m., the Huntington Co. No. 3 and the Echo Hose Co. No. 1 responded with two rescue trucks to a carbon monoxide alarm activation at the Marriott Residence Inn, 1001 Bridgeport Ave.

SHELTON Firefighters quickly put out a fire that started in the HVAC system of a building that houses a bank and pet supply store on Bridgeport Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
Fire units were called to the Chase Bank and Pet Supplies Plus building just before 4 p.m. for a report of smoke, Deputy Fire Chief Paul Wilson said.

SHELTON Bella Medical Spa, which opened its doors in November, is billed as the area’s first full service medical spa, according to owner Daniela Convertito.
“It is very rewarding to help people in general in the healthcare business,” Convertito said. “This just completes the picture in my mind.
