Reigning champion jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot has been suspended from riding for three months by France Galop as a result of being charged with rape.
The three-time winner of France s cravache d or was stood down along with fellow jockey Pierre Bazire, who has been charged with failing to report a crime over the same incident, after both appeared before France Galop stewards on Friday.

PARIS (AP) French horse racing has suspended star jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot for three months pending a rape investigation.
Fellow jockey Pierre Bazire was given the same suspension after being accused of failing to report a crime, which allegedly happened in February.
France Galop announced the suspensions late Friday, after charges were brought against both men earlier this week at a tribunal court in Senlis, north of Paris.
The gravity of the allegations meant the jockeys had to be suspended under article 216 of its race code, said France Galop, which also reminded that both men are innocent until proven guilty.

France Galop has announced it has suspended top jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot from riding for the next three months as a âprecautionary measureâ, following his indictment for rape.
The case against Boudot, who spent two days in police custody this week, reportedly relates to allegations following a party in Cagnes-sur-Mer in February.
The 28-year-old is a three-time champion jockey in France, and won the Prix de lâArc de Triomphe on Waldgeist in 2019.
Boudot â who in March posted on his Twitter account strongly denying any wrongdoing â was due to ride last yearâs Arc runner-up In Swoop at ParisLongchamp on Thursday, but Franceâs governing body announced an initial two-day suspension late on Wednesday evening, before he then provided âobservationsâ to France Galop on Friday.

A French champion jockey has been placed under formal investigation for rape.
Pierre-Charles Boudot, 28, is accused of assaulting a woman at a party in February. He denies any wrongdoing.
Mr Boudot, who won the Prix de l Arc de Triomphe in 2019, has been released on €50,000 (£43,000; $60,000) bail.
Another jockey, Pierre Bazire, is also being investigated for failing to report a crime. Mr Bazire does not appear to have publicly commented.
The governing body of the sport in France, France Galop, said that while both men were presumed innocent, it had decided to suspend them for two days due to the seriousness of the charges.
