The Manila Development Authority (MMDA) inspected San Juan’s bike lanes on Friday, Feb. 26, to help improve the city’s facilities and services for the bike-riding public as more people have transitioned to using bicycles for their travels during the pandemic.

The inspection was led by MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos and San Juan City Mayor Francisco Zamora.
“As someone who bikes around the city myself, I know the importance of protecting cyclists from fast-moving cars and trucks, that is why we put up these bike lanes. Biking is also a cleaner and healthier alternative in the crawling traffic of Metro Manila,” Zamora said.
