The Portuguese women s football team has begun training in Lagos, Algarve in preparation for the final two Group E qualifying games for Europe, with Finland and Scotland.
Captain Cláudia Neto (Fiorentina) and Vanessa Marques (Ferencvaros) and Diana Silva (Aston Villa) are not able to join the training session, due to commitments at their respective clubs.
In the Algarve, after conducting Covid-19 screening tests, the women s team, led by Francisco Neto, will have daily training sessions until 16 February, the day that they will then travel to Helsinki.
