A London council will become the first in the country to permanently remove all of its green roads schemes after a formal review, which revealed the extent of their unpopularity.
Three cycle lanes and four low-traffic neighbourhoods in Harrow, north London, are to be ripped up later this month following the review and a full consultation with residents.
Police say body found in Manchester Ship Canal is that of missing teacher John Curran
The 29-year-old had been missing from his home in Salford since Tuesday, April 6.
The body of a missing teacher has been discovered in the Manchester Ship Canal, police have confirmed.
John Curran, 29, had been missing from his home in Salford since Tuesday, April 6.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have now confirmed that officers searching for John sadly found his body in the canal on Friday night.

There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

POLICE responded to more than 9,000 reports of antisocial behaviour in Bournemouth and the surrounding areas last year, according to official figures. Data from police.uk shows that there were 9,816 reports of antisocial behaviour between January 2020 and December 2020. This is the equivalent to more than 26 offences a day. Antisocial behaviour is defined as behaviour by a person which causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to persons not of the same household as the person according to the Antisocial Behaviour Act 2003 and Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011.
