The Metuchen Parade Commission partnered with the Metuchen Arts Council and volunteer judges to present the annual Memorial Day Art Contest in a new format this year.
The patriotic posters were created by students in Grades 1-8 at Campbell Elementary School, Edgar Middle School and St. Francis Cathedral School.
First, second and third place were awarded for each grade.
“The Metuchen Arts Council has been such a great partner to the parade program,” said Patricia Lucas-Schnarre, a member of the borough’s Parade Commission. “We never did a virtual gallery before. With COVID, we had to make everything digital.”
