Getka Group Invests in Francis Energy to Advance Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Tulsa, Okla., Jan. 22, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) Tulsa, Okla.  Getka Group, an integrated energy company with experience in oil and gas and alternative energies, is pleased to announce an equity investment in Tulsa-based Francis Energy. Francis Energy is a proven leader in the development, construction and operation of fast-charging electric vehicle infrastructure with more than 350 direct current fast chargers (DCFC) under its ownership and management.  “Getka Group and Francis Energy are united in providing resources to support a seamless rollout of EV charging infrastructure throughout the United States and internationally under the Francis network,” said Dariusz Cichocki, Chairman and CEO of Getka Group.  

DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES AWARDS $1 7 MILLION FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGERS THROUGH VOLKSWAGEN SETTLEMENT ENVIRONMENTAL MITIGATION TRUST

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has awarded around $1.7 million in funding through the Volkswagen Settlement Environmental Mitigation Trust to construct electric vehicle charging stations throughout the state. According to a news release, one of the nine recipients is in a city in the KMMO listening area. · City of Bethany; · SuperSonic Transportation LLC in Columbia; · Evergy Inc. in Concordia; · Callaway Electric Cooperative in Kingdom City; · Francis Energy in Rockport; · Kum and Go LLC in Springfield. In 2016, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency filed a complaint alleging between 2009 and 2016, Volkswagen had violated the Clean Air Act with the sale of motor vehicles equipped with emissions “defeat devices.” These devices allowed the vehicles to perform differently during normal vehicle operation than during emissions tests.
