GLENDALE The Armenian Relief Society continues its primary focus on carrying out tremendous and heroic work for its beloved people in Artsakh and Armenia. Since the start of the recent war in Artsakh, the ARS of Western USA and its chapters began implementing various initiatives focusing on humanitarian aid and assistance for the homeland, including the transfer of $250,000 through the ARS Central Executive for medications and first aid, as well as the shipping of 950 boxes of essential items to Armenia.
Further, the ARS of Western USA, Regional Executive announces its participation in additional immediate assistance efforts, including the “Stand with an Artsakh Family” Program. This relief project has been initiated by the ARS Central Executive in an effort to offer financial assistance to displaced families of Artsakh. Group mounts pressure on failed Upper East NPP regional executives to resign
A youth group calling itself the Upper East Patriotic Movement for Growth has called for the resignation of the party’s regional executives following the New Patriotic Party s inability to increase its seats in the region.
To the group, the current crop of executives lacks direction and the needed competence to ensure that the NPP develops and shore up its fortunes in Parliament.
The group is shocked that although these executives were provided with the needed resources, they failed to make a mark in the just-ended election adding that they did not run a results-oriented campaign.

Sources close to the Chief Electoral Commissioner of Sierra Leone has tonight confirmed to the Sierra Leone Telegraph that the hotly contested re-run election in the Freetown constituency 110 in the far west of the city which took place yesterday Saturday 12th December 2020, has been won by the opposition All People’s Congress Party (APC).
According to provisional results which are expected to be confirmed tomorrow by the National Electoral Commission (NEC), the APC candidate – Kadijatu Davies polled 9,354 – 51.73% of the total votes cast, with Josephine Jackson – the ruling SLPP candidate taking 8,729 votes – 48.27%.
Speaking also tonight to the Sierra Leone Telegraph, the opposition APC politician – Dr Sylvia Blyden said: “Kadie Davies has been Certified in a 10-page document by the District Returning Officer for Western Rural District. The document lists all the 145 Polling Stations and the number polled by each candidate
