Lasses dominate LUFC Women

SAFC Ladies left the Academy of Light victorious this afternoon, after manager Melanie Reay orchestrated a 5-1 masterclass over a travelling Leeds United Women. First half goals from Emily Hutchinson, Eve Blakey and a perfect hat-trick from captain Keira Ramshaws put the visitors to the sword, and despite a last minute contribution from Laura Bartup, Leeds were unable to turn the tide in their favour this afternoon. Hutchinson set the pace of the game within the first minute of play, after a cross from Megan Beer wasn t dealt with by United s defence spilled to her inside the area to slot home comfortably.

Countess shares pride as Foundation reaches milestone

HRH The Countess of Wessex GCVO has spoken about her pride for the “incredibly special” Foundation of Light in a video call to mark the start of the Foundation of Light’s 20th birthday celebrations.
