122 rookie police finish Public Safety Basic Recruit Course

BUTUAN CITY, May 11 A total of 122 new police officers graduated from their Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) at the Regional Training Center 13 today.
The SIDLAK-ALAB Class of 2020-04 will carry on the organization s mandate to enforce the law, prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and order, and ensure public safety and internal security with the active support of the community.
Police Regional Office13 Chief of Regional Staff, Police Colonel Jose D. Manalad, Jr. represented PRO13 regional director Police Brigadier General Romeo M. Caramat, Jr. as the guest of honor and speaker.

An opportunity whose time has come: Regional domination in the Dredging Industry

Historically, a few very large European companies have dominated the global dredging industry. Now a new challenge to the European domination has emerged from China. A Chinese Dredging Company, namely, China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) has been very active in Africa and Asia.
However, it falls into a category of its own, where state support is quite apparent. There are a few other notable regional dredging companies like the National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) of Abu Dhabi and Penta–Ocean of Japan.
