A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle in North Battleford is expected to make a full recovery says Battlefords RCMP.
At around 7:50 p.m., the detachments received several 911 calls about the incident on Territorial Drive near the 8th Avenue intersection on January 19. Police say someone spotted a woman wearing all black pushing a bright yellow shopping cart on the northbound lane on Territorial Drive and called 911. While they were on the phone, a vehicle heading north hit the woman. The driver stayed on the scene.

The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services reported the countyâs latest outbreak on Tuesday at Brookdale Senior Living in Pinehurst. Two residents and an employee of the facility recently tested positive for COVID-19, according to DHHS.
An outbreak is defined by the state as two or more active infections in a so-called congregate living setting. Brookdale, a 95-bed assisted living community on Regional Drive, managed to fend off an outbreak longer than any other long-term care facility in the county.

TOWN OF WATERFORD â A Town of Waterford resident reportedly died in a crash involving a farm tractor and a pickup truck in the town. The victim has not been publicly identified by authorities.
The Tichigan Volunteer Fire Company was notified Monday after 3:30 p.m. of a motor-vehicle accident involving a farm tractor and car on Territorial Drive, just west of Marsh Road, according to a news release from Tichigan Fire.
Initial dispatch indicated the driver of the tractor was bleeding and unconscious. Tichigan Fire & Rescue units immediately responded, upon dispatch calling for additional resources, including Flight for Life, prior to arrival on scene.
