It can help the overall community thrive today, and for generations to come. The initiative is launching a new 5x5x5x5 program with a cohort of Black-owned firms. They invited 5 companies to be part of the cohort and matched those companies with 5 mentors. The company will work to improve its operations and strategies with the mentor for 5 weeks.

In addition, news that there will be no Paramin Parang Festival has upset some even as they understand the necessity of cancelling the event. Shauntel Marcano-Skeete of Fatima Trace, Paramin, said she has played parang since primary school and has been in an adult parang band since the age of 13. She has performed at the Paramin Parang Festival for the past 13 years and only missed one because she was giving birth.
