A Biddeford packaging manufacturer is expanding operations to newly renovated industrial space in Sanford and expects to hire 20 employees within the coming year.
Derek Volk, owner and CEO of Volk Packaging Corp., announced the company plans to establish a new division Volk Pack and set up shop later this spring at One Eagle Drive in Sanford.
“We are really pleased with the facility location and the extensive preparatory work completed on the building by developer 43 North,” Volk said in a news release. “We are hoping to provide some Sanford area folks with good stable work.
Volk Packaging makes corrugated and foam products, and is a third-generation family business founded in 1967. It currently employs over 100 people.
