No further Covid-related deaths reported by Bradford hospitals | Bradford Telegraph and Argus

NO further Covid-19-related hospital death have been reported today in Bradford. According to the latest NHS figures, no further deaths were reported at either Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust or Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. It means the total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district remains at 885 - 623 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 260 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. Nationally, a further 13 patients who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 86,931. Their families have been informed. The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.

Bradford treating highest number of Covid-19 hospital patients in county

BRADFORD Teaching Hospitals is still treating the highest number of patients with Covid-19 in the county.  Nearly half of all patients with the virus in the West Yorkshire and Harrogate area are in Bradford, the figures show. Hospital trusts collectively release this information through the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership at 2pm every Thursday to provide an overview of the current position within the regional and local NHS.  There is currently a combined total of 78 patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 receiving care in hospitals across the area, with nine patients requiring intensive care. That s a fall from 102 last week (April 22), but there has been no reduction in the number of intensive care patients.

Act as One Festival launched in district

A MONTH-long virtual festival is celebrating health and care projects across Bradford district and Craven. The inaugural Act as One event, which runs until May 20, features a range of speakers – both locally-based and national experts – and activities. In total, more than 50 people are giving talks during the four weeks and there are over 20 events taking place. The festival began with a session – attended by Dr Habib Naqvi, director of the NHS Race and Health Observatory – focusing on career progression for diverse communities. Other topics to be covered will range from data science that changes lives, to the work of six apprentices who developed a kindness campaign.

It means the total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district is now at 885 - 623 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 260 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. Nationally, a further 20 patients who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 86,918.
