These Bay Area game show contestants defeated a Jeopardy! legend on The Chase

Two Bay Area locals experienced the thrill of a lifetime when they went up against one of Jeopardy!’s greatest champions in ABC’s game show “The Chase” on last Thursday’s episode.
But at first, they didn’t even know that they had won.
For Alan Turner of Rohnert Park and Karen Chu of Oakland, it was the culmination of a surreal experience. In fact, they had no idea what they were in for. Turner and Chu filmed their episode Nov. 13, and although the episode only aired last week, theirs was actually the first to be filmed for the season. So they didn’t know what this new iteration of the show would entail, although they had seen episodes of the Game Show Network version of the show.

Jeopardy! hosted their Greatest of All Time tournament, I got really into it.
