We’re just over one week away from the opening round of the World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational in Memphis! Many of the world’s top golfers will head for the Bluff City to tackle the TPC Southwind course beginning Thursday, August 5. “The Drive with Brad Bobo” welcomed Tournament Director Darrell Smith back to the show on Monday to preview this year’s event, which will be held the week following the men’s Olympic golf tournament in Tokyo.

Monday afternoon, “The Drive with Brad Bobo” welcomed back to the show Monty Patel, the head coach of Team Arkansas in The Basketball Tournament (the winner-take-all, $1 million, 64-team event made up of former college and pro stars.) The crew from the Natural State, seeded fifth in the Wichita Region, handled the Fort Worth Funk (former TCU players) 74-70 in the Round of 64, but fell to Challenge ALS in Round 2, 69-63. Coach Patel recapped his club’s efforts, his personal feelings on the experience, and what he learned in TBT that he can use in coaching youth basketball.
