Unmarked is a new documentary that looks at unidentified African American grave sites and burial grounds in the South that have been disappearing (and some already lost to time). Co-director Chris Haley leads the Maryland State Archive’s Study of the Legacy of Slavery program; co-director Brad Bennett is based in Virginia, where the film’s team says the “stories of thousands at rest could vanish from history altogether if these locations are not restored.” Stream the documentary on Apple TV (and elsewhere) starting Tuesday 4/27.

The sinister one-off gem we’re featuring today is the work of an Australian motorcycle enthusiast named Brad Bennett. For this fellow, customizing two-wheelers is a hobby that fills his spare time rather than a full-time occupation, so the bike you’re looking at here was gradually pieced together over the course of several years. At its core, this menacing piece of machinery is a 2013 variant from Moto Guzzi’s V7 family.
Piaggio’s mechanical showstopper is put in motion by a 90-degree V-twin powerplant that packs a displacement of 744cc. The air-cooled engine is good for up to 50 hp at 6,200 rpm, while a respectable torque output of 43 pound-feet (58 Nm) will be accomplished at 5,000 rpm. The Mediterranean Dish is the leading online resource for cooking spanning the breadth of the Mediterranean region, from South of Europe to North Africa and the Middle East. Suzy Karadsheh, a native of Port Said, Egypt, now living in Atlanta, launched the Mediterranean Dish inspired in part by her mother’s Egyptian cooking and her mother-in-law’s Levant-style cooking. She initially began the project as a hobby documenting her recipes for her American-born daughters before launching the site in 2014. The Mediterranean Dish now features more than 600 recipes and videos.

HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a suspicious fire reported at LKQ Auto Parts, 11475 Chicago Drive in Holland Township.
Firefighters were called to the scene just after 4 p.m., according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt Brad Bennett, after deputies found the fire had spread to multiple other vehicles in the lot. Holland Township firefighters were able to douse the flames.
The fire is considered suspicious by police, and they are reviewing surveillance video, according to Bennett’s note to media.
