The competition, now in its sixth year, provides financial help to grassroots conservation projects through its charity partner Birds on the Brink. The standard of photography was incredibly high, and the diversity in different species was great to see, said Will Nicholls, wildlife cameraman and director at BPOTY.

Setting the Hydro stage
Doesn’t the present Manitoba Conservative government have more important things to do than setting the stage to ultimately privatize Manitoba Hydro? They currently want to limit the Public Utilities Board that oversee hydro rates to five-year intervals instead of one. This sets the stage for immediate, exorbitant hydro rate increases to substantially lower Manitoba Hydro’s debt making it desirable for future (sale) privatization. Boy oh boy, I can’t wait for that to happen! Whippee! Recently, everyone should remember what happened in Texas with consumers having to pay huge electricity bills to a private company during a recent power failure. Now that the car manufacturers are moving toward producing less polluting electric-powered vehicles, it’s going to be a “cash cow” for electricity providers. Thank goodness, the NDP is reminding all Manitobans that the Conservatives have this on their agenda.

Not going to worry
There seems to be some worry over the small percentage of people not wanting a vaccine. Here’s a correct-me-if-I’m-wrong-scenario: When I am fully vaccinated and out and about at a mall, social distancing, wearing my mask, I’m not going to worry about the anti-everything people in the lineup with me. I’m wondering why these people are willing to play Russian roulette. This should be one less thing to worry about.

Open up Manitoba!
Premier Dithers, it’s time to open the province! Around 900 deaths in a province of 1.2 million and those were mostly from folks in their 80s and 90s and a 99.9% survivability rate! Why still code red? Why all the stupid rules killing business! The useless masks!! Have you forgotten, Brian you work for us not the other way around. Stop acting like a dictator. Manitobians can make their own decisions about their own health. Enough is enough with the socialist rules and lockdowns! Open up Manitoba!

ThyBlackMan.com) Life can feel like a loop sometimes: wake up, head to work, and then go to bed. For many people, this has left them feeling stuck in life and their careers. However, there is a solution that many people don’t always consider: making the steps to progress your career. In times of trouble, whether this is a personal one or one that affects the country or even the world, it can seem harder to achieve this. Many people believe that times like this can limit an employee’s or employer’s prospect for progression. However, your career doesn’t have to stand still because of this, neither does communication.
