St Kilda coach Brett Ratten praised his sideâs midfield after their stirring win over West Coast at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.
Trailing by as much as 33 points in the third quarter, the Saints staged a stunning comeback by kicking the final eight goals of the match to run out 20-point winners.
Max King booted a career-best five goals while co-captain Jack Steele amassed 33 disposals and six clearances.
St Kildaâs 69 tackles more than doubled the tally they laid in last weekâs 75-point thrashing to Essendon.
Ratten was particularly pleased with recruit Brad Crouch and youngster Jack Bytel who laid 19 tackles between them.

Matthew Lloyd has slammed St Kildaâs performance against Essendon on Saturday, saying they were âall at seaâ and said he was worried how their ruck setup would fare against West Coast in Round 4.
The Saints lost by a whopping 75 points against a Bombers side who coming into the match wasnât expected to pose a threat to Brett Rattenâs men.
Ruck duo Rowan Marshall (injury) and Paddy Ryder (personal reasons) both didnât play against Essendon, and Lloyd expressed his concerned about how St Kildaâs fill-in ruck duo of Shaun McKernan and Jake Carlisle would go against Nic Naitanui this weekend.

Essendon coach Ben Rutten is adamant there won t be extra pressure on the returning Jake Stringer as the Bombers attempt to bounce back from last week s flop against Port Adelaide.
Stringer will be a key inclusion for Saturday s clash with St Kilda at Marvel Stadium, while former Eagles forward Alec Waterman and No.9 draft pick Archie Perkins will make their AFL debuts.
The Bombers copped a 54-point thumping from Port Adelaide last week and managed just nine goals for the match.
Only five Essendon players got on the goalsheet against the Power, with the Bombers (0-2) already staring at the prospect of another bleak season.
