BREAKING NEWS: AEW Superstar Brodie Lee Passes Away (Updated) );
AEW issued the following statement on Saturday night, announcing that Brodie Lee (Luke Harper in WWE) has passed away at the age of 41. Lee hadn’t appeared on AEW Dynamite since his loss to Cody Rhodes back in October. At the time, the talk was that he was out with an unknown injury.
Prior to joining AEW, Lee had a run in WWE as Luke Harper where he was a three-time tag team champion with Erick Rowan. He is also a former Intercontinental Champion. );
AEW’s statement reads,
“The All Elite Wrestling family is heartbroken. In an industry filled with good people, Jon Huber was exceptionally respected and beloved in every way a fierce and captivating talent, a thoughtful mentor and simply a very kind soul that starkly contradicted his persona as Brodie Lee.
