(CNSNews.com) - The White House tweeted on Wednesday that the cost of a 4th of July barbecue is down 16 cents from last year, but that’s not enough to offset the rising cost of gas.
According to AAA, the cost of regular gas is $3.13 today, compared to $2.18 last year - a 95 cent increase.
“Planning a cookout this year? Ketchup on the news. According to the Farm Bureau, the cost of a 4th of July BBQ is down from last year. It’s a fact you must-hear(d). Hot dog, the Biden economic plan is working. And that’s something we can all relish,” the White House tweeted Thursday.
