Columbia woman faces charges Updated: 2:13 PM CST Jan 15, 2021 A 10-year-old girl is in critical condition at a Jackson hospital after she was shot at her home in Marion County, authorities said.Chief Deputy Jamie Singley, with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, said in a news release that 34-year-old Kimberly Renee Luter was trying to shoot at a dog.“While firing at the dog, projectiles entered the residence, striking a 10-year-old female juvenile,” Singley said.Deputies were dispatched to the shooting on Franklin Drive shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday. They were then informed that the girl was on her way to a hospital. Singley said units from the Sheriff’s Office and the Columbia Police Department escorted the victim to the Marion General Hospital.
