Public amenities in Stratford and St. Marys are gradually beginning to reopen as the region emerges this week from Ontario’s most recent COVID-19 lockdown.
In Stratford, Mayor Dan Mathieson provided an update on Twitter Wednesday highlighting the city’s efforts to resume at least some of its recreation programs at the Rotary complex and Dufferin Arena.

A skating program for seniors at the Rotary complex will restart on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Public skating sessions at Dufferin Arena will resume on Sunday with a maximum of 50 skaters per session.

Town of St.Marys lays out plans for province-wide shutdown

Officials in St.Marys are laying out what the province-wide shutdown will look like in the town.
They say, beginning on Boxing Day, the service counter at the Municipal Operations Centre and town hall will be closed for drop-ins with both locations open for pre-arranged appointments and services only.
The Pyramid Recreation Centre will be closed for all programs, activities and events with the exception of the Friendship Centre and Community Centre for social services.
The pool at the Aquatics Centre will be closed.
