NEW JERSEY New Jersey has launched a new online dashboard that tracks coronavirus vaccinations town-by-town, officials announced on Monday
(see which Central Jersey towns have the highest vaccine rates below).
The charts posted on the state s website track how many adults have received one dose of a vaccine, and how many have been fully vaccinated in each town across the state, by percentage, Gov. Phil Murphy said during a news conference.
It can also be broken down by age group, including 18-and-older and 65-and-older, Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said. Each town is shaded, with towns that have higher vaccination percentages being shaded the darkest.
Anthony Pantazopoulos has a lot to celebrate this year.
The freshly turned 18-year-old is enjoying all of the perks of legal adulthood like getting his drivers license, but was also pinched from his previous team of around 11 years, Brunswick City, to play with the seniors at the Oakleigh Cannons.
“It was the end of 2019 when I got a call from Chris Taylor, the coach at Oakleigh just to head over and have a training session with them and then from there I ended up signing with them,” Pantazopoulos told
Neos Kosmos.
Taylor wasn’t the only person who saw potential in the young Pantazopoulos. The defender first started playing thanks to not only his persistence in nagging his parents to get him out on the pitch, but to his own father who played for historic Greek team, the Port Melbourne Sharks.
Elton Franks spends a lot of time with a metal detector in his hand, looking for lost or discarded pieces of history.
In early April, Franks was searching an area near Town Creek off N.C. 133 in Brunswick County when I hit this target, Franks said. When I dug it up, I saw a face . When you find something like that, your adrenaline starts going.
What Franks found appears to be a coin-like, Native American peace medal dating to around 1715. Only around 700 of the bronze medals which were given to Native American tribes by English colonists as a way of establishing or sustaining alliances are thought to have been made, and only around 30 are currently accounted for, Franks said.

(includes “The Campaign,” “The Massacre” and “The Aftermath”)
With the help of seven renowned guests, the Unearthing 1898 series examines, dissects and faces the horrors of the 1898 Wilmington Massacre. Detailing the campaign that led a white supremacist mob to kill untold numbers of African-American residents, it is arguably the most important story in Wilmington’s history, not just for its bigoted savagery but also for the wide-reaching regression it brought to a city that found progression and the possibility of parity after the Civil War. It is proof that one story and even one day in the Cape Fear can have ripple effects for so many others. In this case, it also changed everything.
