Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet on Saturday (December 26) Freedom of Religion Bill 2020 in a special meeting chaired by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Under the new Bill, forcing religious conversion on someone will attract 1-5 yrs of imprisonment and a minimum Rs 25,000 fine, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra was quoted by ANI.  Under the new MP Freedom of Religion Bill 2020, forced conversion of a minor, woman or a person from Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, would draw a minimum jail term of 2-10 years with a minimum penalty of Rs 50,000, Mishra said.

Mohammad Javed, who is on the run, is accused of kidnapping and unlawfully converting a Hindu woman to Islam. A first information report was filed at Etah’s Jalesar police station on the basis of a complaint by the woman’s father on December 17. The father, who is a local businessman, allegedly received a letter from Javed’s lawyer in Delhi, informing him about his daughter’s conversion and marriage.

Mishra said he could not understand what is black in these farm laws and that so far no one could explain the black laws . I could not understand what is black in these farm laws. This tukde-tukde gang is the one instigating and misleading the farmers. So far, no one could explain the black laws , he said.
