Over the past 20 years or so, Central Otago has established itself as New Zealand s pinot noir wine region. The area was previously better known as a winter sports playground, but now wine is a major drawcard in addition to the ruggedly beautiful alpine scenery, stunning mirrored lakes, and numerous near-death experience adrenaline sport options.

As with most overnight successes, Central Otago has been many years in the making. Frenchman Jean Desire Feraud planted the first grapes in Clyde in 1864, winning a prize in an 1881 Sydney wine competition. In 1885 an Italian viticulturalist, Romeo Bragato, visited Central Otago and pronounced it suitable for grape growing.

The FINANCIAL With future drivetrain electrification, Mercedes-AMG combines superior performance and impressive driving dynamics with maximum efficiency. The development of future drive concepts will continue to benefit from the valuable experience gained from close cooperation with the Formula 1 experts at Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. The cooperation between the three performance specialists will intensify even further in 2021, reflected, among other things, in the bundling of motorsport activities. Above all, however, the mutual transfer of knowledge also makes fascinating new AMG models possible, such as the Project ONE hyper car, which brings Formula 1 hybrid technology almost one-to-one to the road, Mercedes notes.

Pi (π) is a constant describing the ratio between a circle s circumference and its diameter. It is an irrational number usually summarized to two decimal places as 3.14.
The Greek letter for P was chosen by the 18th century Welsh mathematics teacher William Jones, most likely to stand for periphery .
Symbolically, the term pi was chosen to stand for something more than a mere number. Prior to its use in the early 18th century, the quantity was represented by terms and fractions, none of which adequately reflected an incomprehensible, infinitely long sequence of non-repeating decimals.
Jones might have suspected that the exact proportion between the diameter and the circumference can never be expressed in numbers , but it wasn t until the 1760s that the Swiss polymath Johann Lambert came up with a proof of its irrationality.
