Grace Christian College claims 3-peat win at Philippine Math Olympiad
Bryce Ainsley Sanchez executed a three-peat following his 2019 and 2020 wins at the Philippine Mathematical Olympiad (PMO), edging out Saint Jude Catholic School’s Steven Reyes (1st runner-up) and Philippine Science High School Main Campus’ Raphael Dylan Dalida (2nd runner-up).
Grace Christian College (GCC) has claimed a 3-peat win at the 23rd Philippine Mathematical Olympiad (PMO).
GCC Grade 12 student Bryce Ainsley Sanchez prevailed over two dozen other finalists at the 2021 PMO) held online last March, earning the top title for the third year in a row.

Sanchez bested the first runner-up winner, Steven Reyes of Saint Jude Catholic School, also a Grade 12 student and a consistent national finalist in previous PMOs as well as a silver medalist in the International Physics Olympiad in 2018 and 2019.

Bryce Ainsley Sanchez from Grace Christian College bested over two dozen other finalists at the competition held online last March 19 to 20. According to the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Science and Education Institute, the math whiz edged out International Physics Olympiad silver medalist and consistent PMO finalist, Grade 12 student Steven Reyes of Saint Jude Catholic School, who was named first runner-up.

All students who regularly access campus are required to report to the Carrier Dome testing center at least once every seven days to remain in compliance with university testing guidelines.

Syracuse University announced Monday that it would transition back to requiring COVID-19 testing once a week for all Main Campus residents, effective immediately.
The university started requiring all Main Campus residents to get tested twice a week in response to a cluster of COVID-19 cases in resident halls in mid-March. SU has mandated testing at least once a week for all SU students since the beginning of the spring semester.

The Department of Science and Technology’s Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) extended its felicitations to Sanchez who earned the PMO’s top title for three consecutive years after besting over two dozen other finalists.
“Bryce’s achievement is all the more notable and exemplary given the challenges that everyone most especially students like him and his fellow competitors have had to face over the past year,” DOST SEI Director Josette Biyo said in a statement.
The DOST-SEI also congratulated Steven Reyes of Saint Jude Catholic School and Raphael Dylan Dalida of Philippine Science High School – Main Campus, who are both Grade 12 students, for winning first and second runners-up at the PMO.
