The Indestructible Townhouse
Over 211 years, the Dickey House in Lower Manhattan has survived everything New York City has thrown at it. Soon it will become part of a new home for Public School 150.

When it comes to architectural survivors amid Manhattan’s eternal churn of destruction and redevelopment, it is hard to top the 211-year-old, four-story brick landmark at 67 Greenwich Street in the financial district. Originally the townhouse of the merchant Robert Dickey, the decorous Federal-style dwelling was built in 1810 near the island’s southern tip, when nearby wharves bustled with trade and lower Greenwich Street was among the city’s poshest addresses.

NEW YORK, March 15, 2021 /PRNewswire/ France honored American Jewish Committee (AJC) CEO David Harris today with one of the country s most prestigious awards. The ceremony took place at the French Consulate in New York City.
French Ambassador to the U.S. Philippe Étienne promoted Harris to the rank of Officer within the order of the Legion of Honor on behalf of President Emmanuel Macron in recognition of his unwavering commitment to strengthening ties between the United States and France, his deep friendship for France, as well as his extraordinary work to combat antisemitism and hate speech – an effort highly valued by France.
It seems like the most open and shut of cases. In the middle of a lavish wedding reception in Be’er Sheba in Israel’s Negev desert, the French bride and Israeli groom are all set to cut the cake. Suddenly the lights go out, the power cut. When they come back on, there stands the bride in front of everyone – splattered in blood, the cake knife in her hand, her husband dying at her feet.
With hundreds of witnesses, it should be case closed. But Natalie (Nadia Tereszkiewicz) says she didn’t murder her husband Eran (Imri Biton). In fact, she doesn’t remember anything about the evening at all. The police consider this convenient at best; Karim (Reda Kateb), who’s been assigned to represent her by the French Consulate, thinks there’s more going on. But is he inspired by a quest for justice, or an ever-deepening obsession with Natalie?
