A GREENOCK man has been charged with headbutting his friend and punching another pal during an alleged disturbance at a house in Port Glasgow. Michael Ryan, 30, is also accused of refusing to leave the property on Brightside Avenue, repeatedly striking a door and trying to regain entry. Prosecutors say he later tried to headbutt a male police officer. Ryan, of St Lawrence Street, is further charged with acting aggressively, shouting, swearing, repeatedly threatening violence and making a homophobic remark towards the PC. The alleged offences are said to have occurred on Sunday. He pleaded not guilty at the sheriff court through lawyer Aidan Gallagher.
