12 killed in military plane crash in central Myanmar © Provided by Xinhua YANGON, June 10 (Xinhua) A military plane crashed in Myanmar s Mandalay region on Thursday morning, killing 12 people, a military spokesperson said. With 14 people aboard, the military plane taking off from the capital city Nay Pyi Taw crashed in Pyin Oo Lwin of Mandalay region at around 8:00 a.m. local time due to severe weather, said Major General Zaw Min Tun of the Information Team of the State Administration Council. The Mandalay Region Fire Department s social media page said 12 on board were killed. Two people have been rescued and sent to a military hospital for treatment so far, the information team said.
