TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Sunday’s Noon matchup between Florida State Women’s Basketball (9-7, 8-7) and Wake Forest (11-10, 8-9) is one of immense magnitude as the Seminoles try to earn their sixth Top-4 seed in the ACC Tournament in the last seven years.
A win by Florida State over a tough Demon Deacons squad would mean they finish no worse than sixth in the ACC regular season. A victory coupled with losses by Notre Dame (hosts Louisville) and Syracuse (hosts NC State) would mean the No. 4 seed for FSU.
Florida State was projected eighth in the ACC preseason coaches’ poll but is currently sixth in the conference standings. Wake Forest was picked 12th and is currently eighth in the league. A win by FSU on Sunday that could vault them up to the No. 4 seed would likely mean that the Seminoles moved up the highest based on preseason expectations of any team in the leagu
