THUNDER BAY In a year when news headlines around the world focused daily on the COVID-19 pandemic, it s perhaps no surprise that the same subject dominated news stories at the local and regional level as well.
On TBNewswatch.com, seven of the 10 most widely-read stories in 2020 were connected to COVID-19 in one way or another.

Ransome Airlines (US) Asking for trouble was this now-defunct airline, especially as it was around when planes were targetted a lot more by hostage-takers. Founded in 1967 by J. Dawson Ransome, the airline acted as a feeder for many of the bigger players like Pan Am and Delta. The brand was eventually retired in the mid-1980s and no, the airline was never hijacked.
