Game 25 Preview: New York Rangers @ Pittsburgh Penguins 3/9/2021: lines, how to watch

Game 25 Preview: New York Rangers @ Pittsburgh Penguins 3/9/2021: lines, how to watch Share this story Who: Pittsburgh Penguins (14-9-1, 29 points, 4th place in the Eastern Division) When: 6:00 p.m. eastern (very bizarre start time for a week night game, no clue why this is!) How to Watch: AT&T Sportsnet in Pittsburgh, MSG in the NYC area, and NBC Sports everywhere else Opponent Track: The Rangers had a three game winning streak halted on Sunday with the 5-1 loss. Their offense also dried up, considering they had 12 total goals in the prior two games, and scored another very early on against the Pens. NYR will definitely be looking to find a bit more and bounce-back from the last 58 minutes from Sunday.

McDavid hits milestone as Oilers and Jets continue to entertain

McDavid hits milestone as Oilers and Jets continue to entertain Connor McDavid got to the 500 career points mark and the Edmonton Oilers held on to be the Winnipeg Jets 3-2. | February 18, 2021, 2:03 AM February 18, 2021, 2:03 AM EDMONTON Sometimes you get sick of watching two teams play each other in this new NHL schedule. Personally, I never need to see Arizona and St. Louis play each other ever again. But the Edmonton Oilers and the Winnipeg Jets? How about a playoff series, please? There is something about these two teams that makes for fabulously watchable hockey, whether they’re playing a 6-5 game like the Jets won on Monday, or a 3-2 nail-biter like the one Edmonton gutted out on Wednesday.

Snapshots of the Week Ahead: Week 6 After the Caps wrap up their two-gamer with the Penguins, it is a week of match-ups against New York rivals. Share this story Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images Let us try this again. After we posted last week’s snapshots, the Washington Capitals had their week of games wiped out, save for Sunday’s 6-3 loss to the Penguins in Pittsburgh. The schedule calls for a four-game work week for the Caps, starting with the back half of their two-game set with the Pens and ending with their hosting back-to-back set of games against the Rangers in Washington after a visit to Buffalo to face the Sabres. We will see if we can get an entire week of games played without further incident.

Snapshots of the Week Ahead: Week 5 The Caps go into Week 5 with games against Pennsylvania rivals wrapped around a two-game set in upstate New York Share this story Photo by Justin K. Aller/NHLI via Getty Images At first blush, the Washington Capitals might have a comparatively easy schedule ahead for Week 5. They wrap up their two-game set with the Philadelphia Flyers, a tough opponent, but then head to Buffalo to take on the Sabres, a team battling the effects of players sitting out due to COVID protocol and currently in last place in the East Division. The Caps wrap up the week with a visit to Pittsburgh to face a team that has only one win in regulation time this season.
