Pierre Desir has found a new home.
The veteran cornerback has agreed to terms with the Seattle Seahawks, NFL Network s Mike Garafolo reported.
A fourth-round pick of the Browns out of Lindenwood in 2014, the small-school product got off to a slow start before finding his footing in Indianapolis. Desir thrived with the Colts, intercepting four passes and recording 19 passes defensed between 2018 and 2019. He departed as a cap-related release in 2020, signing with the Jets and playing in nine games before New York waived him and the Ravens scooped him up off the wire.
Seattle is Desir s sixth team, although it s not his first brush with the Seahawks. Desir was on Seattle s practice squad from late 2016 through 2017 training camp, but was released as part of final roster cuts. His fateful pairing with the Colts soon followed.

When Indianapolis Colts General Manager Chris Ballard traded out of the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft with the now-Washington Football Team, Ballard grabbed a 2019 second round pick and a 2020 second round pick.
Though that trade looked strong on paper, considering the haul Ballard and the Colts received, but to date the Colts haven t quite gotten as much out of the trade that they could have. After trading back with Washington, Ballard and the Colts then traded back again with the Cleveland Browns, eventually picking TCU s Ben Banogu at 49 overall.
That 2020 second round pick from Washington turned into wide receiver Michael Pittman, so there is definitely significant potential there.

On Monday, the New York Jets traded quarterback Sam Darnold to the Carolina Panthers for a 2021 sixth-round draft pick and 2022 second- and fourth-round picks. The move affirms what was already obvious for the Jets: New York will take a quarterback, likely Zach Wilson, with its no. 2 selection in this month’s draft. It also affirms their failure to develop Darnold into a franchise quarterback, a mistake they don’t want to repeat. After taking Darnold with the no. 3 selection in 2018, the Jets will soon become the first team since at least 1967 to take two quarterbacks in the top three picks in a four-year span.
Jets (still) need cornerbacks, so who are their best options in free agency, 2021 NFL Draft? 49ers’ Richard Sherman? Alabama’s Patrick Surtain?

still have major needs at cornerback. (Yes, plural.)
General manager Joe Douglas has holes at both outside corner spots, and at slot corner, though he could always re-sign free agent Brian Poole.
Let’s break down where things stand .
WHO ARE THE INCUMBENTS?
Poole in the slot, as we mentioned. He played well enough last season that he could return.
But the outside corner spots are both a mess, after the Jets went through last season with Pierre Desir, Bryce Hall, Lamar Jackson, and Blessuan Austin.
